Sadly, you can’t actually get rid of the misleadingly named “Rogers Quick Start Menu”, but you can hide it behind the Interactive TV Guide, so that when you hit the “Guide” button, the actual TV guide comes up first. Frankly, I can’t believe it took Rogers this long to come up with a ‘solution’, but I’m glad it’s here.
Here’s what you do:
- Hit the “Guide” button to bring up the “Rogers Quick Start Menu”
- Scroll down to “+ Self Service” and hit OK/Select
- Scroll down to “Change GUIDE Order” and hit OK/Select
- Scroll to highlight “TV Listings first” and hit OK/Select
Now, when you hit the Guide button, the Interactive TV Guide will show up first. To get the Quick Start Menu, hit Guide again, but you’ll never want to see that again anyway.
Here’s the most important part; be sure to spread the word so all Rogers customers can be free of this annoying hassle.
