U2’s new single is on finally on the radio, and I’m tickled pink (among other colours). It’s a great, old-fashioned rock song. Accounting for my obvious bias, I still think this is a really catchy rock tune, and a great song all around. It kind of reminds me of ‘Sheep Go To Heaven’ by Cake with its catchiness, but it sounds quite different.
One disturbing thing has already come out. I was listening to EDGE 102 last night and Martin Streek was talking about the chorus of the song, and how he was sure it was ripped off of Diana Ross’ ‘You Keep Me Hanging On’. Thanks Martin. I really needed THAT in my head everytime I try to rock out. (Try it yourself, it’s freaky).
If you haven’t heard the song, but would like to, drop me an email and I’ll make sure you can ‘hear’ a copy… wink.
