Many of you are only familiar with my shiny, happy bearded face, while others of you you knew me in the days before I got all beard0, but it’s been so long you forgot what I looked like.

Growing a beard was something I chose to do, partly because I was lazy and didn’t want to shave everyday, but also because I thought I looked quite young clean-shaven and wanted to look my own age.  It didn’t hurt that I thought I looked pretty darn good sporting one too (and Danielle agrees).

Well, this month is Movember, and I’ve decided that I’m going to take part.  That means that I plan on raising both money and awareness for the fight to end prostate cancer.  Raising money, in relative terms, will be the easy part.  Raising awareness means I have to grow a moustache, and it probably goes without saying that this dude CANNOT pull off a moustache.

Since today is the first day of Movember, I’m starting clean-shaven and looking a lot younger than I did when I woke up yesterday.  Stay tuned for updates on my progress, and for more chances to donate towards my mustache.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, I plan on going for the Wilford Brimley look by the time my lip hair grows in.  Awesome.

  1. I still think you should’ve gotten a head start and gone for the Lanny McDonald.

  2. Where is my Colin Farrell? I guess Smiley, Young Guy took his place for a good cause!
