About Dave
Being born in the last few years of the 1970′s means that I was a product of a 1980′s childhood (rife with GI Joe and lawn darts) and an adolescence marked by the bleakness of grunge and the awesomeness of suburban hip-hop.
I briefly attended the University of Ottawa, and then attended the University of Waterloo for slightly longer. We parted on amicable terms, but only barely. It was there, through a series of unusual events, that I found my love for writing in its various forms.
Although a “social media marketing guy” by day (Director of Marketing and Communications at big time design), my career is merely a cover for my nefarious outside interests in writing, art, and faith. My daily rants here are just some of my countless side-projects including SilentTalkie (an online arts magazine), some dwindling professional writing opportunities (email me with project ideas), and involvement in my church.
I attribute my unusual writing to the balance between a twisted mind and pure soul, but my friends and family like to think it’s more of a balance between madman and genius… simply put, I’m an idiot savant.
Feel free to look me up on Facebook. I can’t promise that I’ll add you as a friend, but I can promise you that I’ll think about it. The same goes for my account on Twitter.
