Being born in the last few years of the 1970′s means that I was a product of a 1980′s childhood (rife with GI Joe and lawn darts) and an adolescence marked by the bleakness of grunge and the awesomeness of suburban hip-hop.
I briefly attended the University of Ottawa, and then attended the University of Waterloo for slightly longer. We parted on amicable terms, but only barely. It was there, through a series of unusual events, that I found my love for writing in its various forms.
Although I work as a professional corporate communicator by day, my career is merely a cover for my nefarious outside interests in writing, art, and faith. My daily rants here are just some of my countless side-projects including SilentTalkie (an online arts magazine), some occasional professional writing opportunities (email me with project ideas), and involvement in my church.
I attribute my unusual writing to the balance between a twisted mind and pure soul, but my friends and family like to think it’s more of a balance between madman and genius… simply put, I’m an idiot savant.
In addition to my title of ‘writer’, my passions and pursuits have honoured me with other titles, listed here in order of importance to me:
- hobby handyman
According to the fine folks at Google Analytics, some of my more popular posts on here include a listing of Subway’s Daily Deal specials and an in-depth explanation of how to install David’s Batch Processor (DBP) for GIMP in Linux.
